Mosaic: A Behind the Scenes Look at W5’s Art Collection
By Mia Ferrari
Since opening our doors in 2002, the team at W5 has embodied the belief that there is an art to the science of market research. Our research strategies have allowed our clients to masterfully guide their brands to the highest level of success, which, in our eyes, is true artistry. As an independent marketing research firm, we value uniquity and creativity, among other ideals.
From the moment you set foot in the W5 office, you are surrounded by art, giving the space a gallery-like feel. When I first interviewed here, I remember sitting down and admiring each piece carefully.
But unless you have opportunity to walk around the W5 office, you would never be able to appreciate the art that adorns our walls, which is why we have put together this collection of some of our favorite pieces from around our work home.
A note about Photonic and Somnolent android #2:
“I obtained these through the Durham Art Guild’s annual charity auction. I liked how both used photography differently to communicate movement (photonic) and emotion (android). While both compositions are simple and straightforward, I identified with their abstract technique and themes to do more than just capture a moment.
I also appreciated that both are local artists and the purchases supported the local arts community in Durham.”
-Martin Molloy, Senior Partner
A note about Lion:
“The vibrant colors and eyes drew me in. I love how colorful the painting is while still feeling powerful and fierce.”
-Amy R. Castelda, Partner
As we celebrate our 20th anniversary, we wanted to highlight the art that has shaped our office over the years. Every piece tells its own story and intrigues its audience in a personalized way. This is what we strive to provide for our clients―custom market research that personalizes interactions between brands and customers.
